The app will then quantify the magnetic fields along the X, Y, and Z axes, presenting measurements in microteslas. Additionally, it offers a comprehensive magnitude reading calculated using the formula (X² + Y² + Z²).

Functionality is rooted in the integration of a compass within the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 models, enabling Teslameter to detect disturbances caused by ferromagnetic metals or other magnetic influences. It is important to note that Teslameter is not a genuine teslameter and is intended solely for recreational use.
